The privacy policy explains account, form, donation, analytics, and student-related information practices, along with security measures, retention, choices, and contact information.
What you can expect
- Optional Google Analytics measurement remains disabled until a visitor grants consent.
- Form contents and contact details are not included in Google measurement events.
- Parents or guardians must be involved in account and consent decisions for younger children as described in the policy.
Information the organization may collect
Information provided directly may include names, email addresses, phone numbers, account credentials, student grade and learning needs, volunteer or team applications, messages, event registrations, submitted resources, and donor contact details. Program records may include tutoring requests, participation, volunteer hours, roles, application status, communications, and account preferences.
Donation records may include the donor name, email, amount, schedule, transaction status, and identifiers needed for receipts and reconciliation. Stripe processes card details; Project AID Scholars does not store full payment-card numbers. Hosting and security providers may receive standard device and request information such as IP address, browser, pages, and timestamps.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to operate tutoring, learning resources, events, student programs, accounts, applications, communications, volunteer service records, and donations. Access is limited to authorized personnel and to families, tutors, or program participants when needed to provide the requested service.
Service providers may include Cloudflare for hosting and security, Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional email, and Google for analytics when configured. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect safety or rights, to investigate abuse, or during an organizational transition that preserves its nonprofit purpose.
Children, retention, and security
A parent or legal guardian should create or supervise accounts and submissions for a child under 13. Project AID Scholars does not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent and asks families to report a submission that may lack required consent.
Records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for program safety, dispute resolution, donation and tax records, legal obligations, and other stated purposes. Administrative and technical safeguards include encrypted HTTPS connections and role-based access, although no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Analytics consent and privacy choices
Optional Google Analytics and advertising measurement loads only after a visitor chooses to allow optional measurement. Visitors can decline and continue using the site, or reopen Cookie settings to change the choice. Form contents and contact details are not included in Google measurement events.
A person may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, close an account, or opt out of nonessential promotional email. Some records may be retained when required for safety, financial, legal, or operational reasons. Browser privacy settings can limit storage, though doing so may affect sign-in, theme preferences, and other functions.
